Researchers have been studying the effects that parent attitudes and actions have on their children’s academic success for many years, and they have reported consistently that children with parents involved in their education and schools earn better grades, and score higher on tests. When parents are involved in their children’s education at home, they do better in school. And when parents are involved in school, children go farther in school and the schools they attend are better. One of the duties of the Home and School Association is to assist families in their participation in school life.
